It is repeated as a truism and yet every time that it is tested it is shown to be bullshit. What is it? It is the myth that a deregulated market leads to the most efficient and fairest use of resources. Why are we treated like morons when we question it? Because the purveyors of the myth know that it is false, but the myth is profitable for them, so since evidence is against them all they’ve got is bobbing and weaving if they’re bright and idiotic condensation if they’re not.
What still amazes me is that they get away with it over and over again when open eyes proves they’re wrong. In any case, Krugman dismantles McCain’s health “plan” here.
